Professor Peter Easton is the Notre Dame Alumni Professor of Accountancy and Director of CARE at the University of Notre Dame. He is a well-known Accounting scholar, and has held appointments at premier schools, including the University of Chicago and The Ohio State University. 

 

Professor Easton obtained his PhD degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1984. His research interests include corporate valuation and financial statement analysis. He has published papers in the leading journals, such as Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research. He is currently the editor of Review of Accounting Studies and the associate editor of Journal Accounting Research, among other journals. He was the associate editor of Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research.
